CNC Drill/Mill Operator

Conax Technologies, a Buffalo NY based manufacturer of industrial temperature sensors and high performance compression seal fittings, has an opening on 2^nd shift for a CNC Drill/Mill Operator. The position primarily involves the drilling of various stainless steel and non metallic parts (Teflon and various plastics and elastomeric materials) which are used in our exclusive soft seal technology compression seal fittings. Programming of CNC Drilling/Milling Machines using primarily conversational programming is required.

The prospective candidate shall have a minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on machining experience and a basic understanding of machine operation, cutting tools and machining processes. Qualified candidate must be able to read blueprints; perform basic machine shop type math calculations to determine acceptable feature dimensions; and determine tooling requirements to achieve the required product dimensions and tolerances. 

Experience using measuring instruments, including gage pins, micrometers, and calipers, etc is required. Typical tolerances required are in the range of ± .005”.
